From the first graduate of ANU, Sir Robert Garran, through to the 100,000th new alumni member at December's graduation ceremonies, we know that all ANU alumni are pretty spectacular.
Alumni engagement is at the heart of our university's future. The ANU Young Alumni Council has an ambitious plan to maintain former students' links to our great campus.
The Council is working towards a more networked and interconnected young alumni community, with more than 24 members across Australia and the world. The fourfold membership growth over the last 12 months is a testament to the increasing importance and awareness of our inspiring Alumni community.
Through networking events, alumni outreach and an ever growing social media presence, the Council provides a great opportunity for former students to retain their links to campus, maintain their connections from their time at university, and to grow their professional networks.
Our executive have planned a comprehensive engagement strategy for the year, including:
- Attendance at on-campus events.
- Stronger links with ANU Colleges and Schools.
- More frequent networking opportunities across Australia, particularly Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra.
- Young Alumni-focused networking events in North America, Europe and Asia, including New York, Boston, London, Singapore and Hong Kong.
