Careers Support Available!

ANU Careers Consultants can advise students and recent graduates on the career implications of their program and employment opportunities, as well as help them understand themselves, their career interests, and how this relates to career decision making and further study.

Confidential consultations can be booked through CareerHub.

Appointments

15 minute appointments are booked through CareerHub -

One-to-one appointments are for queries related to:

Interviews
Selection Criteria
Career planning
Assessment Centres
Job search strategies (internships, graduate recruitment, part-time/casual work, etc.)
Other career-related topics

Please note, one-to-one appointments are not for Resume/CV review or assistance - these will be covered in the Resume/CV & Cover letter workshops

Appointments are held on:

Mondays 2pm-4pm (SECD)
Wednesday 2pm-4pm (SECD)
Fridays 10am-12pm (Hancock Library)

Signups will open on CareerHub on the day of the appointment at the following times:

Resume/CV & Cover Letter workshops

If you would like help with a resume or cover letter, please visit CareerHub to book into a "Resume/CV & Cover Letter" workshop run on:

Mondays 2-3pm at Student Experience and Career Development 1/25 Childers Street CANBERRA, or
Friday 10am - 11am held in Hancock Flexilab

We will not review these materials in "one-to-one short consultations". During the "Resume/CV workshop" you will be able to ask a careers consultant general questions and you can attend as many of these sessions as you like. ANU Careers facilitates Resume/CV development through workshops as we strive to enable students to develop the skills to be able to manage their own career development.

Additional Careers Consultations

Careers Consultants may determine that an additional consultation is necessary and can assist you to book subsequent consultations at their discretion.

New Directions and Career Voyage Consultations

If you aren't sure about your future career - New Directions and Career Voyage are online self-assessment modules which enables you to explore potential careers with our Consultants. These options can be discussed in a 15 minute appointment including which program would be best for you and how to complete them.
