If you want to delay the commencement of your studies, you can apply to defer your offer. Conditions and restrictions apply.
Eligibility
You may defer your enrolment on the condition that you do not undertake any other study while deferred. This is because ANU considers the full academic record of all applicants. If you do undertake additional study while deferred we will need to reassess your qualifications against any new entrance requirements. Your deferment will expire if you take tertiary studies above Certificate level, and your place in your program will no longer be valid.
How to defer
To defer your offer, please complete the online form at the top of this page and follow the prompts to defer.
You will not receive an immediate decision, nor will you be able to check the progress of your application. ANU will contact you as soon as a decision is made.
If your request is declined, and you still wish to study at ANU, you will be required to re-apply for admission for the following semester or year and meet the entry requirements relevant at that time
How to decline
To decline your offer, simply complete the online form and follow the prompts to decline.
